Last Month..... Minutes from the last meeting: the Heritage Dinner was a huge success. Harambee would like to thank everyone for all of their hard work and preparation.
This Month......
At this meeting there was a discussion about having a “Sunday dinner” style meal over to Patricia’s. The event was to be held on Friday April 13th, but was moved to Thursday April 12th at 5:30 pm.
The rites of passage ceremony will be on May 3rd 2007. The group has secured money for the stoles. All students of African descent are invited to participate and wear stoles regardless of their involvement (or lack thereof) with Harambee. Jeremy McKay will send the list of all black students to Sheila Glenn asap. There will be food and entertainment (via donations). This will be the last time to pick up your Harambee shirt for the semester. Sheila is in charge of this committee

In the Know.... Harambee will meet once a month on the first Tuesday from noon-1pm. Meetings and events are open to all. The next meeting is Tuesday May 1 in Rock. This will be the last general body meeting for the semester. There will be an election gathering sometime between April 24-26. Rites of passage on May 3rd.
